Orrin Ricks Hoffman, born October 30, 1953 in Mt Shasta, Calif., passed away peacefully in his home with his family on August 20, 2013 at the age of 59. Rick was the beloved husband of Velanda for 36 years, loving father to Patrick Hoffman and son of Orrin and Betty Hoffman (deceased). He is also survived by his sisters Judy Hoffman (Carol Lewis) and Jill DeWitt (Bill DeWitt) and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was an avid sportsman who belonged to several local community organizations including The Sportsmen's Legacy Foundation, Thermalands Sportsman's Club and The Placer County Fish and Game Commission. Of the many accomplishments in Rick's life, one that he was most proud of, was being the first 18 year old to join the City of Lincoln volunteer fire department. He will forever be loved and missed by his family, friends and all the lives he touched.
