BAUER, Lucie (nee Friss)
March 5, 1930 – November 6, 2012
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, Lucie Bauer of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years.
Lucie will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family; son Walter (Linda); daughter Marlene (Rudy) Welz; five grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, Melissa (Colin), Clayton, Kathleen; brothers Eugene, Leo (Leona), sister-in-law Shirley Friss, Richard (Bobbie) Friss, Edward (Ingrid) Friss, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward; daughter Elizabeth; parents Edmund Friss and Natalie Friss-Closen (Kelm) and brother Alfred.
Many heartfelt thanks to all the homecare and University of Alberta Hospital staff for their kindness and compassion.
Funeral Service is Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10759 - 96 Street, Edmonton, AB. Pastor Sigmar Reichel as well as Pastor Friedmut Wilhelm will be officiating with interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
