RISTOCK, Rhoda Bernice August 9, 1929 - Prince Albert, SK April 14, 2014 - Edmonton, AB It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Rhoda Ristock announces her peaceful passing on April 14, 2014. Rhoda fought a courageous battle with leukemia (AML) and was taken from us at the age of 84 years. Rhoda is survived by three sons; Jason, Brent (Sherri) and Bill Jr. (Laurie); daughter Melanie May; grandchildren; Colin, Pamela (Myles), Michael May, Dylan (Doneal) Ristock, Diamond (Will), Carley Ristock and great-grandchild Nathan Hancock. She is also survived by nieces; Cheryl Dawson, Judy Notschaele (Marcel); nephews; Don Gary (Kathleen), Bob Crawford (Sharon) and Douglas Loftus. Rhoda leaves behind many family, friends and students. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, William (Bill) Ristock, her parents James and Belle Corrigal, sister June Dawson. Rhoda was a retired school teacher of 46 years and an active volunteer with the IOF Foresters for many years. She had an adventurous spirit. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, golfing, traveling, dancing, live theatre, music, and camping, but most of all her "pride and joy" was her family. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Howard & McBride Westlawn Funeral Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Rd., Edmonton, AB. RUST, Nelson William (Nellie/Rusty) February 1, 1934 - April 15, 2014 On April 15, 2014, Nelson William Rust went Home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 80 years. He passed away peacefully at the Norwood Palliative Care. His memory will be cherished by Velma, his beloved wife of 57 years; his six children: Dave (Caroline), Dan, Caroline, Rob (Fiona), Rick (Kendra) and Cathy (Yisa); grandchildren: Shantelle, Michael (Kayla), Ryan, Alana, Rebecca, Hannah, Abby and great-grandson, Mason. He also leaves to mourn his passing his brothers: Len (Emily), Rieny (Audrey), Ray (Helene), Marvin (Lorraine); sister Myrtle (Ivan) and many nieces and nephews. Rusty was born near Maple Creek, SK and grew up on a farm near Waseca, SK. He married Velma on April 20, 1957, and they made their home in Edmonton. Rusty was an Edmonton Firefighter for 31 years, retiring in 1989. Rusty found great joy over the years spending time at the farm near Camrose, driving in the country and working in the beautiful flower garden he designed each year in the back yard. He was also very fond of watching sports on T.V. – hockey, football and baseball. He was an active member of Beulah Alliance Church for 59 years and loved making people feel welcome and serving the Lord wherever he was needed. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Beulah Alliance Church, 17504-98A Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beulah Alliance Church. Read Notice
