Darlene VINGE

VINGE, Darlene (nee Chomyn)
On February 17, 2013, Darlene Vinge (nee Chomyn), passed away in her home.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, David; her daughter, Dana; her family and many friends.
Darlene and David were married in 1977. They worked as educators, built a life together and raised their daughter Dana. Darlene was very close to family. She was very proud of her daughter, she visited her father William daily and always made time for her many nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.
Darlene was very passionate. That passion focused on her family, friends, work, play and her profound sense of social justice. She was unfailingly generous with both her time and efforts and was always there to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. No imposition was ever too great. She lived the adage, "Many hands make light work."
A memorial celebrating her life and achievements will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Suite 300, Fifth Street Place, 10010 - 105 Street N.W., Edmonton, AB T5J 1C4 or to the Koh Kandal School Project, supporting education in rural Cambodia, a project started in memory of close relative, mentor and fellow educator, Maureen Vinge.
