KOWALUK, Ernest Edward
May 22, 1947 - March 21, 2013
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Ernie Kowaluk on March 21, 2013 in Edmonton, AB at the age of 65 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda; children Chad (Erin), Shawn (Wanda), Darrel (Kerri), Cheryl Menzel (Trevor) and honorary son Desmond Paul (Desiray); grandchildren Alyssa, Cydney, Holly, Konner, Kiara, Maggie, Madison, Mataya, Avery, Ally, Kayla, Meagan and Maya, will sorely miss Grandpa's "Hot Patch". Ernie will be dearly missed by his three sisters Bernice Leadbeater (Larry), Elsie Huska (Marshall) and Donna Bially. His memory will be cherished by his mother-in- law Beatrice Hodgson and Linda's family; Larry, Blair, Marvin (Edna), Gayle (Kevin) Hood, Murray (Corinne) and numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Ernie was predeceased by his parents Steve and Pauline; brother Lawrence; father-in-law George Hodgson and brother-in-law Guy Hodgson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stony Plain United Church, 5012 - 51 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB with Pastor Sally Boyle officiating. Inurnment to be held at a later date.

Ernie believed in making a difference and it was his wish that anyone able to donate blood do so to help those in need, just as he had been helped during his battle with cancer.
