WATSON, Hella Ingeburg
It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of my mom, Hella Watson on November 8, 2012. Having grown up in Germany studying in the field of languages (Univ. of Mainz), she met her future husband at work and immigrated to Canada (Saskatoon) in 1962. Widowed in 1967, she decided to remain in Canada to fulfill her long time dream and professional goal of being a librarian/teacher. After graduating from three Canadian universities, she enjoyed her long fulfilling career immensely.
She will be missed by her son, Ian, her relatives and her many friends and colleagues in both Canada and Germany who will remember her sense of humor, positive nature and independent spirit.
Cremation has already taken place; at her request, there will not be a funeral service.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated or raise a glass of your favorite beverage during a moment of silence.
I would like to thank everybody in the medical field for their expertise, their caring and their generous support and compassion; it has been deeply appreciated.
