HARDSTAFF, Jane Dora

September 16, 1948 - February 10, 2013
It is with fond memories and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jane Hardstaff at the age of 64 years after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jane was adopted at the age of four into the Budney family and raised in Lamont, Alberta. She worked at the Lamont Hospital and later moved to Edmonton where she worked at the Glenrose Hospital and for the Alberta Government. Jane married her husband and they moved to Stony Plain where they raised two daughters and have resided for the past 36 years.
Jane is remembered and survived by Howard, her loving husband of 40 years; daughters: Shauna (Matthew) Hardstaff-Christie and Janelle Hardstaff; brothers: Marvin (Lillian) Budney, Lawrence (Alice) Budney, David Budney, Dennis (Elaine) Budney; sister, Diane (Wayne) Chorostkowski as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Jane was predeceased by her parents
Andrew and Elsie Budney as well as her birth parents Catherine Uchman and Alexander Pietrzykowski.
The family would like to thank the staff
of the Westview Health Centre for their compassionate care during her final days.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Graham English officiating. Both events will be held at the Stony Plain Alliance Church located at 4900 - 53 Avenue, Stony Plain, Alberta.
Interment to follow in Pioneer Cemetery located at 52531 Range Road 271. It is located on the south side of Highway 16A heading east just past the last traffic light in Spruce Grove Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Tributes may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta,
T6G 1Z2 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
