February 21, 1927 - December 26, 2012
Born in a small village outside of Cracow, Poland, Dad and his parents immigrated to Canada in 1933, homesteading in the Boyle area.
Growing up in rural Alberta, he developed a deep and lifelong love of the outdoors and hunting. Dad loved to hunt and could point out, more than 70 years later, the place of his first hunting ground. Dad was never more at peace than when he was in the woods and could hear nothing but the sounds of animals that lived there.
Joe married Elizabeth, his one true love, in 1955. Predeceased and reunited with Mom, two years to the day. Dad is survived by his children, Dale, Daryl, Deb, Richard; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his best friend and hunting partner, Hector and his loyal pet and companion, Teddy. Dad was predeceased by his son, Bruce.
Dad was driven to provide for his family and had a strong work ethic. Over the years, he has made many friends in the construction industry. He was a tireless worker and his drive has been a strong influence on all of his children. His presence was and is felt, each and every day of his children's lives. We miss him and will continue to miss him, for as long as we live.
