ODENBACH, Laurie Pauline
It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces the passing of Laurie Pauline Odenbach, on February 22, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 52 years.
She is survived by her four Sons, Blair, Jonathon, Kristopher, Stepsons Joe Leger; her Mother Sylvia Dewey and Stepfather Rod Dewey and her Brother Don Odenbach.
She also leaves behind the love of her life and best friend Douglas Kirst and his family; Glen (Stacey) Kirst baby Reid and Crystal (Gregg Bachan) baby Liam; and special lifelong friend Penny Modien (and her family) as well as numerous friends and relatives.
Laurie was predeceased by her Father Derril Odenbach, her maternal Grandparents Pauline and John Schurek and Paternal Grandfather William Odenbach.
Laurie had a long and distinguished career as a banker where she was admired and respected for her dedication to her career and her clients. She was a very sociable, compassionate and an outgoing person. People seemed to be drawn to her by her friendly smile and cheerful personality.
Laurie was an ardent reader, loved to dance and was extremely kind. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Research, Edmonton, in her memory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church 14406 - 62 Street, Edmonton, at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Joseph Vadassary officiating.
