CHAPMAN, Leroy Nolan
On Sunday, March 9, 2014, Roy Chapman passed away in Edmonton, AB at age of 68 years.
Roy was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on October 18, 1945 to the late Boyd and Edna (MacDonald) Chapman. Roy is survived by his son, Roy (Wendy) of Annapolis Royal, N.S; daughter, Tara (Trevor) Roache, of Sable River, N.S; grandchildren, Ashley (12), Joel (10), Cameron (7) and Sylvi (4); brother, Eric (Linda) Debert, N.S; stepmother, Daisy Hatt, of Kingston, N.S; sisters, Kay (John) Armstrong, of Kingston, N.S., Pat (Ron) Theberge, of Edmonton, AB, Joan (Bill) Carlisle, Edmonton, AB, and Wanda Chapman, Middleton, N.S.
He served with the Navy on the HMSC Cape Scott during his early years. He enjoyed travelling, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was very generous and encouraging. He put all his energy into everything he did and was always optimistic and up for the next challenge life brought him.
A Private family service will be held in Nova Scotia.
