Margaret BLANCH

BLANCH, Sister Margaret, S.A.
Born on June 19, 1922 in Stratton, ON, Sister Margaret Blanch, S.A. of Edmonton passed away on November 23, 2012 at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Heffernan; also numerous sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, William and Bernadette; siblings, Anna Saretsky, Patrick Blanch, William Blanch, George Blanch, Bernadette Blanch, Joseph Blanch, Leo Blanch, John Blanch, James Blanch, Sister Mary Gertrude Blanch, S.A. and Reverend Michael Blanch.
Sister Margaret entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement at Graymoor Garrison, New York on August 11, 1946 and professed her final vows on August 29, 1953. Sister Margaret's missionary assignments were in Utah, Colorado, Maine, Mother Lurana Home, Graymoor and Edmonton, AB.
Prayers Wednesday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 6 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue. Reverend Don Stein and Reverend Joby Augustin CFIC officiating with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franciscan Sisters Benevolent Society, 11035 – 92 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 1W5.
