Marlene Rose Theresa Anne Durocher- Balcombe, age 56 passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
From her birth on Friday, June 15, 1956 in Edmonton to her death she was a resilient and caring woman who put the needs of her family before her own. An inspiration to her family, she fought through her battles with cancer.
Marlene graduated from St. Joseph High School and married her now deceased husband Brian Terrance Durocher.
Left to honour Marlene and remember her love are her three children Sheana Mahlitz (Warren), Christina Froberg (Bo), Bobby Durocher (Elizabeth), husband Ken Balcombe with her grandchildren Brandon Durocher, Breane Mahlitz, Elyse Froberg, Thomas Froberg, Acacia Abar, Eden Durocher, her mother Elizabeth Kraynyk, brother Pat Kraynyk (Cheryl) and sister Jeanette Walsh. She was preceded by her father Harry Kraynyk.
Funeral Services will be on November 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. Reception will follow immediately afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
