Olive CLARKE

CLARKE, Olive
September 12, 1923 - February 11, 2013
At age 89, Olive peacefully left us and began her journey onward.
Born in Winnipeg, she lived her entire married life in Edmonton. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Barbara Bessar, and her first born, Ken Clarke.
Olive is survived by her loving and devoted husband Doug Clarke, daughter Barb Avent (Len), son Norman Clarke (Yvonne), daughter-in-law Fay Clarke (Ken), six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with a third soon to follow.
Olive was the heart of the family - an elegant lady who personified class. She loved art, music, philosophy, and read voraciously. First and foremost was her constant love and care of her family, complimented by her hospitable and generous spirit. Whether it was travelling the world, square dancing, learning to quilt, knitting, bowling, tap dancing or belly dancing - Olive loved to taste life each and every day. Loved and admired by all who met her – Olive will be missed more than words can say, but will remain in our hearts forever.
"I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream"
Lyrics from Abba - I Have A Dream
As per Olive's request, there was no funeral service.
