On Friday, April 19, 2013, our mother passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends.
As would be expected by those who knew her, she died as she had lived, which is to say in her own way, on her own terms, and with great conviction.
Predeceased by her first husband Milton Coulson in 1963 and her husband of 47 years, Jim, on November 30, 2012, she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her daughters Carol Anne (Nick Smith) and Christine Gold (Jonathon) and granddaughters Jacqueline and Cassie Smith. Ruth was predeceased by her brother- in-law, Stephen Manchak in 1998, sister Patricia Hamula in 1999, and is survived and will be deeply missed by her sisters Phyllis Manchak and Dallas Krysa (Toby) and brother-in-law Lawrence Hamula. We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the unwavering care and friendship of Jonny Lao-Lawi and Mike de la Cruz.
A Celebration of Life will he held at The Derrick Golf and Winter Club in the Jasper Room, 3500 - 119 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.
