HAMILTON, Vernon Lee
Vernon Lee Hamilton of Edmonton, Alberta has changed venues. Born December 19, 1949 in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. He passed away in his home December 24, 2013 in Edmonton, Alberta. He is survived by his Auntie Doris Bowman, and his cousins Bonnie, Laurie, Lindsey, their families and his extended Hamilton cousins in Ontario. He was pre-deceased by his loving grandmother, Mattie and his mother, Elfield.
Vern was a well known and well liked music aficionado on the Edmonton scene. He could be found most Saturday afternoons at the Commercial Hotel's (Blues on Whyte) attending the long running blues Jam where he would hold an entire table or two in the best area for his many friends, even if some didn't show. He had a passion for tinkering with his giant, purple motorcycle and when he quit riding he made sure the bike went to a good home. Vern enjoyed watching wrestling and chatting with his friend and neighbour, Ede. They also enjoyed the occasional Whopper night at Burger King. Vern loved a bargain. He was a big man with an even bigger sense of humour and will be missed by his relatives and his many friends.
In lieu of flowers please find a way to support live music. This is something Vern would appreciate.
