PARKS, Gregory Roy
March 25, 1967 - June 15, 2015
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Gregory Roy Parks on June 15, 2015 at 48 years of age. Greg passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side.
Greg is survived by his beloved daughters, Paige, Madyson, and Mackenna, of whom he was immensely proud; his loving parents Gordon and Bonnie; sister Jacqueline Curtis (Darrell); brother Malcolm (Natalie); nephews and niece, Matthew and Tyler Parks, Rachel Curtis and Cain Curtis; special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Greg was predeceased by his grandparents, Mackie and Edna McCallum, Roy and Bea Parks and Aunt Pat Lamont.
Sports framed Greg's life and he was always a keen competitor. Hockey was the passion of his journey including, St. Albert Saints, Bowling Green University, AHL, NHL and Europe. He was a proud 1994 Canadian Olympic Silver Medalist.
Memories of Greg's sense of humour, quick wit, loving nature and good heart will always bring a smile. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Please join the family to share in memories of Greg's life on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club 3500-119 St. Edmonton.

My condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Parks and the entire Parks family. I was greatly saddened on hearing of Greg's passing. I have many great memories of Parksie from our years together at BG, as teammates, roommates and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences to the entire Parks family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Greg's passing.Greg was my teammate playing back on the St. Albert Saints. He was a good friend and I will always cherish the memories and stories we shared on and off the ice. I loved his sense of humour,tenacity,toughness,competitiveness and loyalty. My brother Kurt and I will greatly miss Greg and will always remember him as 1st class! Once again our deepest sympathies to your family.

I consider myself and many others fortunate to have played with Greg at Bowling Green. We collectively experienced great moments together on and off the ice. Parksie was a tremendous competitor and leader who you wanted on your team.
