Maxine and I were both recipients of the kindness and goodwill so generously offered by Elmer Borstad. Our history with him began in the 1950s and continued long after our departure from Grande Prairie. He was not only an ethical and successful business man, he was a strong community leader and an intelligent politician - a gentleman in all respects.
We are thankful for having had the opportunity to know him and share his friendship.

My prayers are with you all at this time. I was very blessed to know Elmer during my time at Hythe Pioneer Home. He was a kind, gentle man and I so enjoyed our talks. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
