ABBOUD, Abdullah (Albert)
On August 26, 2014, Albert of Edmonton passed away suddenly at the age of 73.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dalal; sons Raymond (Christine) and Dereck (Rachelle); granddaughter Layla and grandson Logan; brother Mike Abboud; sisters Sadie, Amila, and Wadalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Yousif and Nabiha, brother George, sister- in-law Laure, and nephew Joesef.
Albert was known for being a loving family man and friend to all. He took great pride in his work as a B Pressure Welder. His professionalism was well known to his peers and all that knew him.
The greatest joy he had in his life was the joy of having children and grandchildren, and that he was able to share that joy with his wife. He was thankful for having God grant him the time to spend with Layla and Logan.
Albert will truly be missed by all that knew him.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road. Followed by a funeral service on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church, 15804 98 Ave. Interment to take place at Westlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church.
