MARANO, Aldo
1949 - 2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Addolorato Marano announces his passing after his second battle with cancer on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the age of 69.
Aldo was a passionate man and took a great amount of pride in the things he did. He was a bakery manager at Safeway for 35 years, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Aldo was one of the good ones. He always knew what to say to ease our worries and he taught us to enjoy the simple things in life. There was nothing better than a good plate of pasta paired with a nice glass of red wine, playing cards, and spending time with family. Aldo was the most generous, honest, and hardworking man who devoted his life to ensuring his family was taken care of. Although he will be terribly missed, in these difficult times he would help ease our broken hearts by saying, "Don't worry about it, everything will be okay".
Aldo will be forever cherished and remembered by his best friend and wife of 36 years, Evangelina "Angie". His children, Carlo, Anthony, Nick, Steven, Anna Maria, Johnny, and Madalena feel blessed to have had such a loving, kind, and strong man as their father. He was a very proud grandfather to Skyler, Aleena, Wyatt, Oliver, and Petra who we know he wished he could have had more time with. He will be truly missed by his siblings Carmela, Dominic, Mike, Pasquale, and Nick; by his numerous nieces, nephews and all of his extended family residing in Montréal.
He was predeceased by his father Nicola and mother Anna; his daughter Elena; his brother Antonio; and his sisters Antoinette, Elvira, and Maria.
To honour Aldo's beautiful life, a Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 on Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
