On October 28, 2012, Mrs. Anne Bodnar of Edmonton, formerly of Smoky Lake, AB, passed away at the age of 97 years.
Anne is survived by her loving family; one daughter and two sons, Nadia Wasnea, Gene (Sylvia) and Lawrence (Cheryl); seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Nellie Grandish; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph; her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Anne's family offers their sincere thanks to the staff, admin, and attending physician, Dr. Cahill, at the Sherwood Park Care Centre for the loving care they gave Anne during her time there.
Prayers Thursday, November 8 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
Divine Liturgy Friday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church, 5210 - 40 Avenue, Smoky Lake, AB. Reverend Don Bodnar officiating with interment in St. Onufrey Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & NWT, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1.
