ANSTICE, Annette Eleanor
April 18, 1936 – January 7, 2018
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest "Nettie".
She will always be remembered as a compassionate and fun-loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and the list goes on with so many people that loved her so dearly. She did not have an enemy in the world!
In the early 1950's, Nettie was one of the first ever Saskatchewan Roughrider Cheerleaders! She took a lot of pride in her immaculate home and beautiful flower beds. Her first priority was her family, whom she took such great care of. Nettie was a fantastic dancer and was always the "life of the party" at so many gatherings as our petite little lady had a very big persona, full of incredible spunk and energy.
Those that will miss her the most are her loving husband of 62 years, Gerald (her 'Gerry'); son Brian, his wife Darlene and their three children: grandson, Taylor (Janelle), granddaughters, Jordan and Geri; great-grandson, Daxton; son Warren and grandson, Keaton.
Nettie is now reunited up in Heaven with her whole immediate family, along with numerous other extended family members and some very wonderful friends.
All of the ones she leaves behind will miss here dearly but will cherish her wonderful memory forever… until we meet again.
"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear."
There will not be a funeral service and in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Lung Association (www.lung.ca/get- involved/donate).
Very special thanks to the 4th floor staff at Summerwood Village in Sherwood Park; especially Eileen & Monique, who went above and beyond their call of duty to help make our Nettie more comfortable and content.
