GORDON, Bruce Irvine
April 12, 1940 – September 22, 2013
Bruce Irvine Gordon was born on April 12, 1940, at home in Melfort, Saskatchewan, to Leonard and Amelia Gordon.
It is with sadness the family announce his passing on September 22, 2013.
Bruce was predeceased by his wife, Ellen (Coates), in 2006 and son, Graeme, in 2009. Bruce and Ellen were married on April 5, 1969.
Bruce graduated from business school in Melfort and lived in Melfort, Calgary and Edmonton. He had his own business, Alberta Automobile Recovery, and served as a bailiff.
He was in the Melfort Air Cadets and the Army Reserves. He was a very active member in the Legion, serving as President of the Kingsway Legion for many years.
Bruce was an award winning bowler and curler and an avid sports fan.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at Serenity Funeral Service North Chapel, 10129 – Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB, with lunch to follow at Kingsway Legion, 14339 – 50 Street, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research.
