KILLIPS, Donald Burns
August 5, 1928 – November 19, 2012
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing away of Donald
Burns Killips of Stony Plain, AB at the age of 84 years.
He is survived by his three children, son Richard Burns Killips who has been his caregiver and companion.
Richard's children: Russell, Rowan and Rosslyn.
Son James Lloyd (Janet); his children Caitlyn, Adam and Maryssa; daughter Cynthia Jean Simonson and children Nicholas and Sarah; sister, Anita Johnston of Stony Plain and
her family.
Don was passionate about many interests, mainly electronics. He was the first licensed TV repairman in Alberta, and started Killips TV in Edmonton. He moved his business to Stony Plain, where he bought and lived on a farm west of Stony Plain, where he grew potatoes, raspberries and saskatoons. He enjoyed music, pottery, old songs, exploring old coal mines, trains, crossword puzzles, and had an extensive collection of old records, light bulbs and antique radios. Don's two big dogs, Cleo and Odin, will stay on the farm
with Richard.
Richard would like to express his gratitude to the Staff of Westview Home Care.
As per Don's wishes, there will be no funeral services held.
A great mind so full of knowledge is at sleep forever.
