Ed Diachuk, of Langley, B.C, died on Tuesday Dec 26, 2017. He was born on Aug 16, 1936 in Vegreville, Alberta. He married Mary Ann Verenka in 1963, and together they had 2 children, Bryant and Jenna. They divorced in 1992 and Mary Anne passed away in 1995. Ed is survived by his son Bryant Diachuk, daughter in law Michelle Diachuk and 5 grandchildren Maria (11), Esther (9), Daniel (8), Tommy (5) and Jesse (3) and daughter Jenna Verenka, Ed was a professional hockey player for the Edmonton Oil Kings, Edmonton Flyers, Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks , Los Angeles Blades. Ed passed away in Langley Lodge at the age of 81 years of age. A memorial service will be held at the Kings Community Church, Langley, B.C. Sat December 30, 2017.

Our deepest condolences to you Bryant, your family and to Jenna. I know your dad and Pat have many a story, as do many other friends and acquaintances who your dad touched their lives. You all are in our thoughts, and God bless!!

I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing I played with him in my first year as an Edmonton Oil King- I always admired his strong play and leadership. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family Darryl Havrelock

As a lifelong friend who grew up with Ed in Vegerville Alberta and strapped on shin pads many many times together I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Diachuk family. Looking at some old pee wee pictures brings back many happy memories. Rest well my friend.
