It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Joyce Buchanan on February 16, 2014, at the age of 82 years.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her sons, John (Shawna) and Robert Wade, and Donald Greer; stepsons, Scott (Katherine), Neil (Karen) and Murray (Kelly); grandchildren, Andrea (Ross) Nourse, Kimberley and Scott Wade, and Liam Greer; step-grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Lansdowne, Brenda (Paul) Bieber, Kyle, Dylan, Sean and Colin; step- great-granddaughters, Zoe Briseis and Aurora Lansdowne; and by the numerous people whose lives she has touched and enriched through her many years teaching. Joyce is predeceased by her husband, William James Buchanan and her parents Frank and Bertha (Standish) Wonnacott.
Family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at The Citadel Mews West for all their support.
Viewing will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Braeside Presbyterian Church, 5 Bernard Drive, St. Albert, and a Celebration of her Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. Her remains will be interred with her parents at Union Cemetery, Calgary in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Braeside Presbyterian Church, which she attended and supported for many years.
