Born November 19, 1915, Elisabeth went to be with her Lord on December 10, 2012 at the age of 97 years. She is predeceased by her husband Emil of 60 years, son Kurt Seib and brother Otto Adam.
Elisabeth leaves to mourn her son Ulrich (Lilli) of Calgary, son Dieter (Shelly) of Gull Lake; daughter-in-law Frieda Seib of Edmonton; grandchildren: Marita (Derek), Sandra (Randy), Danny (Wanda), Lisa (Jevon), Michael (Delia), Dennis (Julianna), David and Adi; great-grandchildren: Paige, Hope, Rowan, Maelle, Marley, Ethan and Claudia; sisters: Emmy, Martha, Herta and Traute (Otto); brother Kurt; and numerous other relatives and friends including Annie and Hannah.
Born in Germany, Elisabeth immigrated with her family to Edmonton in 1951 where she and her extended family established a robust and industrious Christian community through the Church of God. Elisabeth was well known for her hard work, kindness and devotion to her family and Church. She was honored at her 96th birthday party by a surprise visit by then-premier Ed Stelmach.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Point Church of God, 720 - 62 Street, Edmonton, AB, with viewing one hour prior. Interment will occur at 3:00 p.m. at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 418, 9945 - 50 Street, Edmonton, AB.
The family is grateful for Elisabeth's care and in lieu of flowers, requests that donations be made to the Millwoods Shepherd's Care Centre, 6620 - 28 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
