BUTLER, Elizabeth "Betty" Mildred Graham (nee: Cairney)
October 21, 1924 - May 11, 2018
Betty's family is sad to announce her passing at the University Of Alberta Hospital on May 11, 2018. She passed away peacefully with her family present after several months of declining health. Betty enjoyed a life full of adventure and travel. In her younger years she was a champion highland dancer and teacher. For her commitment and skill, Betty was awarded a lifetime membership by the Alberta Highland Dancing Association. She also enjoyed many years of sunshine and travel to Yuma where she and her husband Peter explored many locales and made many friends.
Betty will be forever in the hearts of her loving family, her husband of 69 years, Peter; son, Wayne (Louise); her much loved grandchildren, Cameron and Melissa (Sean) Bowie; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Grayson Bowie.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Betty's family would like to express their gratitude to the Glenrose Hospital Unit 4C and the University of Alberta Hospital Unit 3E2 for their care and compassion. She was a sweet dear who appreciated every act of kindness.
As Betty had a soft spot for all fur and feathered creatures any memorial donations may be made in her name to the Edmonton Humane society.
