PRIEL, Frances Laurine (nee Clarkson)
March 9, 1929 - June 11, 2012
Our Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Great- Great-Grandma, Sister and Confidante passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11 2012 joining her husband, Jim who predeceased her in February 2011 after 62 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by brothers, Robert and Donald.
Frances is survived by her children, Pat (Alvin), Rod (Joe-Anne), Joan (Paul), Gabrielle-Mona, Mike (Candace), Susan (John), Kathy and Shari; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Pat and brother, Bill.
Mom was an avid reader. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She had a passion for a strong cup of tea, playing crib and Canadian history and politics. Frances was an adventurer who believed in living in the moment. She always said that tomorrow may not come, so live for today and what it will bring. Frances never knew what road she would take - for her, it was the journey that counted. Her favorite saying was "Jim and I had a good and interesting life. Never boring!" Mom was the strongest and most intelligent woman we have known.
She will be truly missed by all.
C'est la vie MOM.
