May 10, 1925 - February 25, 2013
Our beloved dad, Fred Oleitschuk of Clyde, passed away surrounded by his loving family.
He will be so sadly missed and forever remembered by his six children, Veronica Kemp, Theresa (Rick) Mueller, Fred Oleitschuk, Rose (James) Lecky, Dan (Jill Rose) Oleitschuk and Cyril Oleitschuk. Grandpa adored his ten grandchildren: Curtis and Jarrod Kemp (Olivia), Courtney and Ethan Mueller, Megan and Matthew Lecky, Zachary, Tyler and Linden Oleitschuk (Dan and Jill) and Fredor MacIntosh-Oleitschuk (Cyril). Fred was great-grandpa to twin girls Gracie and Abigail (Jarrod and Olivia).
Fred was predeceased by his father-in-law Cyrill Miko in 1997 and his wife and soulmate Agnes on February 12, 2011.
Fred was born in Presov-Solivar, Poland. He came to Canada in 1949 and eventually settled in the Clyde area. Here he met the love of his life ~ Agnes Miko and they were married on April 11, 1953. He worked as a lumberjack, miner and on the railroad, however his true passion was farming. Dad enjoyed going for drives to the farm and checking on his cows even in his final days.
Dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, farmer, mentor, Christian, friend and neighbor, we loved him very much.
Prayer Service will be held in the Westlock Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 1st, 2013 beginning with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Celebrations of Dad's Life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 beginning with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Clyde, AB ~ Rev.
