DUSTOW, Harvey
April 9, 1922 - October 16, 2013
After a long, productive and generous life, Harvey passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 91, in Edmonton, Alberta.
He leaves to cherish his memory many relatives and friends, and he will be missed by his beloved poodles. Harvey was predeceased by Mavis, his loving wife; his parents and many of his siblings.
Surviving him are his sister Elsie, his brother Herb (Zella) and many nieces and nephews.
Harvey was pleased with the many accomplishments he made in his lifetime and was extremely proud to be a WWII veteran and to have served as a tank driver in the Canadian Army. He will be remembered as a soft spoken gentleman, with a warm heart who always had a kind word, a twinkle in his eye and a contagious laugh.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Twiss and Dr. Dusang; and to the many caregivers who kept him comfortable at home. We also wish to express our gratitude to the Grey Nuns Hospital, in particular to the nursing team at station 51, and also extend special thanks to those from palliative care in unit 43, for their kindness and support.
Cremation will take place. Celebration of a life well lived will take place Thursday, October 24, 2013, 1:00 p.m. Chateau Louis, 11727 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, AB.
The family requests no flowers. Any condolences can be forwarded to the family by sending them to: Doreen McIntyre RR 4, Vermilion AB T9X 1Y9. Donations in his memory may be made to: The Edmonton Kennel Club Rescue, Attn: Anita Johnston, 27529 Twp. Rd 514, Stony Plain, Alberta, T7Z 1Z9.
