It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie on November 23, 2012 at the age of 56 years after a brave battle with cancer over the last year.
Left to cherish the memories she has left behind are her partner in life Ron, daughter Erin (Gil), son Scott, parents Ed and Bev, brother Tim, sisters-in-law, Paulette and Beth; her extended family, many friends across the country, and the staff and students of Griffiths-Scott Middle School. Jackie was predeceased by her brothers Doug and Jeff.
Jackie was a very special person whose kindness, easy laughter and positive outlook brightened the spirits of all around her. What brought her the greatest joy was seeing the happiness of others.
Many thanks to the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute and U of A Hospital who showed so much care and compassion throughout her treatment.
A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on November 27 at the Connelly- McKinley Funeral Chapel at 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton.
It was Jackie's preference that rather than flowers, donations be made in Jackie's memory to the Cross Cancer Institute, the SPCA, or any other charity of your choosing.
