Dr John Ronald Nattress September 7,1926 - February 8, 2013 Dr. John Ronald Nattress passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home in Lloydminster at the age of 86. Cherishing Ron's memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Marjorie, his six children, John (Mari), Susan (Doug), Janet, Joan (Peter), Eleanor, and Jim, their fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as his niece Laurel Ozarko. He was predeceased by his parents, John Cole and Meta Hills Nattress, and his siblings, Katie, Harold, Arva, Muriel, and Gladys Bishop.
Ron graduated in Medicine from the U of A in 1949 and was a practicing family physician for 39 years. He and Marjorie moved to Lloydminster, Alberta where he joined the Lloydminster Clinic in 1951 and retired in 1990. He lived a life of devoted service to his community and was much loved and respected by his patients and friends. He was involved in many aspects of his community, including Grace United Church and the building of the Communiplex. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. As an avid curler and golfer, he cherished the friendships he made through those activities.
The family would like to thank Dr. Z. Saddiqi (UAH), Dr. Christian Gerber and Dr. Tom Cavanaugh for their kindness and care.
A Funeral service will be held at Grace United Church, 4708- 50th Avenue in Lloydminster, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 14th.
