July 1, 1935 - January 4, 2013
As the sun was setting and surrounded by his loving family, Leo passed away peacefully at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Marian; one son, Greg (Donna) and two daughters, Sherri (Gerry) Meisinger and Tracey (Michael) Casavant; grandchildren, Joshua, Crystal (John), Tamara (René), Chad, Aisling, Nicholas; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sarah Foran; brother-in-law, Tom Burke; and many nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia Mary Laberge and one brother, Joe Hutton.
Leo grew up and was a long time resident of the Calder and Rosslyn area, where he was actively involved in coaching community sports and functions. He worked for Canadian National Railway for 37 years.
His big smiles and lovable outgoing nature will be greatly missed by all.
The family wishes to thank the caring and dedicated staff of the Kipnes Day Program, Alzheimer Society, EMS and the wonderful doctors and staff at the Misericordia Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Leo to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, Edmonton.
