It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Edward Mills on December 2, 2012.
Lou is survived by his loving wife Lynn, two fine sons Jason of Whitecourt and Tyler of Wynyard, SK, two sisters Lee Metcalfe and Lorraine McNaughton of Saskatoon, sister-in- law Evelyn Mills of Oyen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Laura and Elza Mills of Humboldt, SK, sister Laura Wittwiki of Canora, SK, brothers Ronald of Humboldt, Chester and Cecil of Saskatoon.
Lou spent the greater part of his life working on the oil and gas pipelines for Nova, a job that he dearly loved. He also loved playing hockey, and played for several years with the Leduc Goodtimers, from which he has many good memories. Lou was able to take early retirement from Nova and set up his own company as a pipeline consultant for the last seven of his working years, until ill health forced him to live in Care.
Thank you to the nurses at Salem Manor Nursing Home for their good care and their putting up with his constant teasing. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Lifestyle Options, 108 West Haven Drive in Leduc, Alberta (on the second floor).
