ADAMS, Marguerite Pearl (nee Barrett) On August 28, 2010 of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years after a brief illness. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Adams, Megs is survived by her five children Allan (Lynda), Collin (Lynne), Barry (Allison), David and Judy (Chris) Hambly, along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born in 1918 of pioneer parents near Shining Bank, Alberta, Megs was raised at Mountain Park and Ardrossan where she attended her beloved East Clover Bar School. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marguerite instilled in her children a spirit of self-reliance, a deep commitment to family and a love of simple pleasures. Always mindful of those in need, Megs demonstrated a lifetime of quiet generosity. In her retirement years her family, friends, and flower garden gave her great pleasure. She will be deeply missed by all of her family as well as her new family of friends at Rosedale Estates. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Howard & McBride Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home, 10179 - 108 Ave, Edmonton, on October 1, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Reception Centre.
