CHRETIEN, Marie Jeanne
November 29, 1920 - January 25, 2013
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Marie, after a long and courageous fight with the effects of diabetes, at the age of 92.
Marie Jeanne will be very sadly missed by her nine children, Laurier (Joyce) Chretien, George (Connie) Chretien, Georgette (Clem) Brisson, Bob (Dorothy) Chretien, Annette Couture, Leonard (Wanda) Ross, Bob (Jane) Flett, Theresa Forest, and Doreen Chipchar; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren; sister, Theresa (Ray) Auger; sister-in-law, Rejeanne; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert; son, Norman; son-in-law, John; parents, Euclide and Imelda Riopel; sister, Gabriel Riopel; as well as brothers, George, Alfred and Alphonse.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home; 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the same venue at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, with a Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations in Marie Jeanne's memory may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation and/or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
