KANE, Marilyn Anne
It is with great sadness that we announce Marilyn Kane passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 24, 2013 at the age of 61, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Jack; and daughter, Shauna (Craig) Gendron; along with her brothers, Don (Marian) Holland, Tom (Pat) Holland, Mark (Kim) Holland, and Grant Holland; and sisters, Dianne DeWitt, and Karen (Mark) Tumbach; thirteen nieces, and nephews; and seven great-nieces, and nephews; along with many extended relatives and friends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her mother and father, Ann and Dick Holland; and her brother, John. She will be fondly remembered as a charismatic, beautiful, gracious woman who loved to bring a smile to those around her with her infectious laugh and love for life that is evidenced by the friends she made, which are beyond number.
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sawyer and Dr. Candler and the wonderful nursing staff at the Cross Cancer Institute and also to Dr. Amigo and the amazing nursing staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their compassionate and dedicated care.
