On December 23, 2012, Mrs. Mary Mackay of Smoky Lake formerly of Waskatenau was called home after 98 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edith Stodola, Jean Smith, Maryann (Ed) Boychuk, Pat Yeudall, Ray (Donna) Mackay, Janina (Kon) Zidek; her 12 special grandchildren and 12 precious great- grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Peter; infant son Joseph; parents Peter and Anne Malowany; two brothers; two sisters; sons-in-law Mike Stodola, Jack Smith and William Yeudall.
Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service December 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Waskatenau, Reverend Father Janko Herbut will be the celebrant, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Waskatenau Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund or Charity of One's choice c/o 5626 - 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
