On January 8, 2013, The Right Reverend Mitred Archpriest Meroslaw Kryschuk of Edmonton passed away at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dobr. Nadia; daughter, Anna-Marie "Marusia" (Roman) Koszarycz of Calgary; son, Joe (Arlene) of Fedorah; three grandchildren, Larisa, Tatiana and Emma; sister, Phyllis (Herb) Hills of Fedorah; brother-in-law, Mike Doblanko of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews with their families. Predeceased by daughter, Natalia Kryschuk; parents, Joe and Annie Kryschuk; brother, Fred and sisters, Elizabeth (Andy) Kinjerski and Stella Doblanko.
Funeral Rite Panakhyda Service Monday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. and Hierarchical Funeral Divine Liturgy and conclusion of Funeral Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor, 9831 - 75 Street, Edmonton. Presided by His Grace Bishop Ilarion, with concelebrating Clergy of the U.O.C.C. Interment is at the Cemetery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. John in Fedorah. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor in Edmonton or to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. John in Fedorah, 23521 Twp. Road 572, Sturgeon County, AB T0A 0K1.
