BURNARD, Norman Oscar
Held in the arms of his loving daughters, Norman passed away on August 14, 2012 at 12:45 p.m. at the age of 83. Norman was born in Theodore, Saskatchewan and lived in Edmonton, St. Vincent, Duffield and most recently Stony Plain.
He is survived by his two daughters, Noreen (Marc) Brousseau and Shelley (Gilles) Brousseau; two beautiful granddaughters who loved their grandpa very much, Andrea and Nicole; sister, Veryl; two sisters-in-law, Marie Ibsen and Sylvia (Gary) Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Norman Slevinsky and Alex Slevinsky; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2001.
Thank you to the University of Alberta Hospital ICU and the physiotherapists for their tenderness, compassion and understanding. Lori, Gina, Angela, Mike and Dr. Dennis Djogovic will always have our eternal gratitude. Also, a special thank you to Auntie Marie for giving dad your love, care and companionship.
Memorial Service Monday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Sam Donaldson officiating and cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to University Hospital Foundation (General ICU 3C3) c/o Box 1780, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A0.
