Stony Plain, AB
Rhonda left this world peacefully, feeling the strength of her family's love, after a long, courageous battle with Cancer and Blastomycosis.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jay, her daughters Caitlann (11 years) and Georgia (six years), her father Tony and mother Zenovia, her sister Samantha (JP), and brother Rob (Hong Ying) and his son AJ (Shelby).
This great woman had a passion for living each day to its fullest, and faced her illness with determination, perseverance and fearlessness. She will be forever remembered by family and friends alike for her selflessness, independence, and deep love of family, with her daughters being her greatest source of pride. Rhonda was also admired and respected by many for her confidence, conviction and drive. As one who was never idle for long, she understood the values of working hard, staying focused, and taking smart risks in order to earn life's greatest rewards. It was at the family's cottage in Sioux Narrows, ON, on the shores of Lake of the Woods, that she truly found her greatest sense of inner peace and tranquility. There is where many family memories were created and will be cherished by those she left to carry on.
Even while going through the biggest battle of her life against cancer, Rhonda remained strong willed yet as genuine and lovely as ever. Her smile and beauty, inside and out, continued to leave a lasting impression on people. The mark she left on this world goes deep, and she will be forever missed, forever remembered, always loved.
A Celebration of Rhonda's Life will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Stony Plain United Church, 5012 - 51 Avenue, Stony Plain at 1:30 p.m.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Edmonton Humane Society.
