McCLELLAND, Ron (Reverend)
Born February 18, 1949 (Rev.) Ronald Bruce McClelland was promoted to Heaven on December 10, 2012, after succumbing to cancer.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years Vicki; his four daughters: Brenda McClelland of South East Asia, Bonnie (Wade) Paton and their five children: James, Thomas, Kaylie, Daniel and Emma of Sherwood Park, AB; Becky McClelland of Edmonton, AB; Barbara (Brett) Gitzel of Edmonton, AB and their two children Miles and Jonas; his four sisters: Audrey McClelland, Jean (Doug) Forsman, Thelma (Lee) McClelland and Lynne (Dennis) Ranger; his two brothers: Dave McClelland and Ray (Heather) McClelland as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron grew up in Manitoba and served five years with the RCMP in B.C. before entering the Christian ministry in 1973, after becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ in 1972. He worked with Campus Crusade for Christ for almost 10 years in the seventies and the nineties as well as pastoring churches of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. He became Senior Pastor of Steele Heights Baptist Church in Edmonton in 2001 and served there until 2006.
After a private family committal, a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Albert Alliance Church, 25416 Villeneuve Road, St.
Albert, AB.
