WHITEHOUSE, Dr. Ronald L.S.
Passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital on Saturday, June 9th, 2012, two months shy of his 75th birthday. Ron is deeply missed by his devoted partner Ron, daughters Sarah and Stephanie, granddaughter Alex, sister Audrey, ex-wife Diane and many dear friends and relatives.
Ron led a full and adventurous life. Emigrating from England in 1961 to pursue his PhD, Ron became an award-winning Professor of Medical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases at the U. of A. until his retirement in 1992.
Ron was a gentle and loving soul with a wonderful sense of humour and a kind and generous heart. He will be remembered as an avid gardener, a fantastic cook, an adventurous traveler, an accomplished photographer, a friend to all animals and a lover of the wonders of life.
We treasure you with love and affection always.
