Ruth STROM Obituary
Ruth Strom passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was 94 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Strom; her daughter, Faith Pritchard; and her daughter-in-law, Pat Strom.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her sister Esther (Harold) Jost; her children: Howard (Cathy), Beverley (Ken Bygrave), Brian (Diana), Ron, Arlene (Colin Jackson); son-in-law Barry Pritchard as well as eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great- grandchildren and many caring nieces and nephews.
Ruth will be remembered as a loving and supportive wife and mother and for her warmth and gracious hospitality.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Knox Evangelical Free Church, 8403-104 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Knox Free Church Building Fund or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.

Dear Strom Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in your latest loss. A few weeks ago, we were very, very saddened at the passing of my dear U of A "buddy", Faith. Faith and I went through all of the MLS program together and I was able to meet your dear Mom and Dad and many of you (Arlene, you were an adorable, sweet, and cuddly little girl then). I know you all by name and Faith shared many happy family stories with me. Don and I both feel so sad that your dear Mom, grandmother, and greatgrandmother had to pass on so soon after your heartbreaking loss of Faith.
Our love and prayers go out to all of the family.

I met Mrs. Strom while I was the MLA for Edmonton Rutherford. I was out campaigning, and we had a very long chat about Alberta politics, and her time as Alberta's first lady. She was a fascinating woman, and I will always remember my encounter with her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and those who were close to her.

Ruth was a wonderful lady and a good friend. I will miss her at Rutherford Heights.
