It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great- Great-Grandfather, Uncle and most of all our "Bamper."
Bamper will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Heather (Andy) Kosturik of Montreal and Sandy Currie of Edmonton; and sons, David (Margaret) Currie and Wayne (Sandra) Currie, all of Edmonton. Bamper's memory will live on in the hearts, spirit, and humour of his ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews across Canada. Predeceased in 1991 by Phyllis, his beloved wife of 49 years. Also predeceased by his son, Phillip; brothers, Walter, Gordon, and Ernie; sisters, Eleanor, Eileen, and Hilda; and daughter-in-law, Margaret. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Stan was a proud WWII Veteran serving with the Royal Victoria Rifles and the Royal Canadian Regiment, rising to the ranks of Sergeant Major.
The family wishes to thank the many staff members of Norwood Palliative Hospice for their care and support.
Memorial Service Tuesday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment to take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Rockburn, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP), Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, Room 2B01, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4.
