LITUN, William (Bill)
August 10, 1928 - November 12, 2013
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, dido, and great-dido, William Litun, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Dementia. 'Bill' will be remembered for the pride he took in the accomplishments of his family and was committed to helping out his friends, community and church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Olga; children, Barry (Gail) Litun, Bonnie (Don) Edgecombe, Russell (Gabriele) Litun and Randy (Kelly) Litun; his grandchildren, Justin (Kealy), Adam (Erin), Ashley (Alex), Evan (Anne), Amanda (Daniel), Brandon (Brittany), Tamara, Skylar and Tori; great- grandchildren, Noah, Austin and Gemma; sister, Mary (Allison) Cherniawski; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Helen; and brothers, John and Nick. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Millwoods Shepherds Care Centre for their caring and compassion over the past month.
Prayer Service Friday, November 22, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Service Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Russo-Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 41 Street and 49 Avenue, Chipman, AB. Very Reverend Igor Kisil officiating with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton.
Memorial donations may be made to either the Russo-Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist or the Millwoods Shepherds Care Centre. Due to family allergies, please no roses.
