TUSZ, Yuri Benjamin Del
September 28, 1987 – August 23, 2013
With profound sorrow and aching hearts, we announce the sudden, unexpected death of Yuri from a cardiac arrest, August 23, 2013 in Szeged, Hungary.
Survived by his loving father Delworth, sister Jennifer, her husband Peter, nephew Bende, nieces Zoe and Abigel who live in Szeged, brothers Jeremy (Montreal), James (Edmonton), Miklos (Victoria), sister Mira (Victoria), mother Sheila Reid (Victoria), grandparents Kay and Les Reid (Surrey), as well as uncle, aunts, and many cousins.
Born in Edmonton, he graduated from Ross Shepard High School. He obtained a Psychology degree from the University of Victoria, and then later enrolled in the College of Medicine at the University of Szeged, where he was entering his third year.
He had a tremendous passion and zest for life, an innate selflessness, kind heart and a helping soul, and easily befriended those he met. He loved astronomy, animals, music, travel, car racing, violin, hockey, and many other activities but reserved his deepest love for family and friends. They remain here, as well as in Szeged, scattered throughout the world, missing him, grieving, but always remembering the joy he bought to our lives. You are not forgotten. Yuri, we love you and here you will stay, forever in our hearts.
