Care, Thelma Irene Woren passed away
on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the age of
91 years.
Thelma is survived by her loving family: sons, Gordon (Vi) Cunningham, Patrick (Gwen) Woren and Rodney (Joanne) Woren; grandchildren, Gary (Sher) Cunningham, Stacey Cunningham, Julie (Bob) Moser, Bernie Woren, Brad Woren, Jayne Woren and Jackson Woren; great- grandchildren, Emmet and Oliver Moser, Connor and Logan Cunningham; sister, Linda (Howie) Stephens; brother, Elton (Helen) Gordon; sister-in-law, Marienne Rawlings; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Thelma was predeceased by her first husband, Donald H. Cunningham (1944); second husband, Michael P. Woren (2011); granddaughter, Sharleen Woren (1980); her mother, Marguerite (nee O'Hara) Gordon (1927); father, Wilber Gordon; step-mother, Isabelle Gordon and sisters, Lillian Nevin, Myrna Dodd and Gwenda (in infancy).
The family would like to thank the staff of Millwoods Shepherd's Care for the outstanding care they provided and to Dr. Paul Grewal for his compassionate care.
A Celebration of Thelma's Life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church, 10740 – 19 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thelma may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, 1502 College Plaza, 8215 - 112 Street, Edmonton, AB T6G 9Z9 or to a charity of your choice.
