LEFEBVRE, Florence Valerie
November 9, 1920 – April 24, 2014
The family of Florence Lefebvre is saddened to announce her passing on April 24, 2014 at the age of 93.
Florence will be loving remembered by her daughter, Therese (Ron) Gatien; her son, Laurent (Suzanne); her son, Martin; and her son, Leon (Nathalie); her grandchildren, Angele, Tim, Michelle, Dennis, Lindsay, Joy, Andrew and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Karli, Sarah, Lee, Steven, Eric, Lucca and Alora; her sisters, Lucille and Therese; and numerous friends and relatives.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Rolland; her parents, Ursula and Stanislaus; and her brothers and sisters.
Florence was born in Laurier, Manitoba and lived in St. Paul, Edmonton, and St. Albert, Alberta. Throughout her life, she gave her time generously, working to improve the community she called home. For her service, Florence received many recognitions from the community both provincially and locally.
A Prayer Service for Florence will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
The family would like to humbly thank the staff at the Youville Home for making Florence's last year's comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Youville Home, 9A St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert T8N 1K1 or The Musee Heritage Museum, 5 St. Anne Street, St. Albert T8N 3Z9, in honor of recognizing the two organizations that Florence passionately worked with.
