HILL, William Claude
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of William Claude Hill on August 7, 2014. Bill was predeceased by his first wife Fern; his mom and dad Muriel and Goldie and brother Gordon.
Bill was born in Calgary and went to school in Hanna. He joined the Canadian National Railway in 1951, became an engineer, retiring after 38 years in Edmonton. Bill loved camping, dirt biking and motorcycle road trips, getting many of his children and grandchildren involved. Bill had a love for his dogs throughout his life. He was also a member of the Hanna and Edmonton Elks.
Bill is survived by his wife Noreen; three children Kathy (Darrell), Laurie (Ken), and Michael (Joanne). He also leaves behind six grandchildren; two stepchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Special thanks to all the staff at Hardisty Health Centre for their loving and consistent care of Bill. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Bill on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hardisty Hospital Auxiliary Guild, or the Hardisty Handi - van Society in Hardisty, Alberta.
